Visiting the Royal Crematorium in Bangkok

The Royal Crematorium for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, called Phra Merumas (Golden Crematorium) in Thai, is where the Royal Urn was placed on the pyre (Phra Chittakathan) for the cremation. It was built as a temporary construction on Sanam Luang, in the middle of the historical centre of Bangkok, for cremating His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
